Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and govern enterprise Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management frameworks.
- Develop Ansible playbooks, Salt states, and automation artifacts to manage configuration drift and enforce standards.
- Define desired-state configurations for servers, virtual machines, containers, cloud resources, and platform services.
- Architect configuration management strategies, standards, and governance models for scalability, compliance, and business continuity.
- Build scalable, idempotent, and auditable automation pipelines for provisioning, configuration deployment, patch management, and compliance enforcement.
- Integrate Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management practices with cloud, platform, security, engineering, DevOps, and CI/CD workflows.
- Establish automated compliance controls, configuration validation, and reporting capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and optimize configuration management platforms, provide technical leadership, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Five to six years of relevant experience.
- Expertise with configuration management platforms such as Ansible Automation Platform, Salt, Chef, or Puppet.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure automation, configuration drift management, system compliance, and desired-state configuration principles.
- Experience building automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, patching, and operational governance.
- Proficiency administering Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps toolchains.
- Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud and automation of cloud infrastructure resources.
- Scripting, troubleshooting, and problem-solving experience with Python, YAML, PowerShell, or Bash.
