Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and launch new AWS products and customer-facing cross-domain cloud services.
- Design data transfer capabilities for moving data between AWS regions and accounts with differing security requirements.
- Solve complex software engineering and distributed-systems problems.
- Improve the developer experience for customers building solutions across AWS regions.
- Build or optimize resilient, reliable, highly available, high-throughput data transfer or routing systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
- Preferred: at least 4 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: experience building or optimizing UDP-based data transport systems for high-throughput, low-latency workloads and understanding packet-loss mitigation strategies.
- Preferred: experience building resilient data transfer or routing systems for capacity-constrained or outage-prone environments.
- Preferred: current, active US Government TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
