Responsibilities
- Design and scale wireless testbed operations for software and hardware testing before product launch.
- Design and execute test plans for next-generation Wi-Fi products and features.
- Support firmware engineers with test execution, result analysis, bug reproduction, and investigation.
- Collaborate with functional, release, automation, platform, hardware, product management, and chipset vendor teams.
- Own test topologies and testbeds from initial diagrams through production release testing.
- Develop reliable and scalable testing processes for current and upcoming products and software features.
Requirements
- BS/MS in computer networking, electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Wi-Fi QA and testing technologies or tools.
- Strong knowledge of wired and wireless networking fundamentals, including VLANs, DHCP, TCP, and VoIP.
- Strong knowledge of 802.11 wireless standards, RF, channels, and 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz specifications.
- Proficiency in Ruby or Python for quality code and scripting.
- Hands-on experience using OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude assistants for QA workflows, Wi-Fi test plans, and test-result parsing.
- Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
- Understanding of customer deployments and applying deployment learnings to in-house testing and validation.
- Experience with product and software qualification testing, automation framework programming, or configuring wireless routers or access points is preferred.
- Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, and Jira is preferred.
