Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex database performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Analyze large volumes of performance data and characterize application behavior.
- Build simulations to validate performance findings and explain conclusions to technical architects.
- Advise development teams on database design, data architecture, scalability, and performance.
- Test proof-of-concept products and support the cloud solutions team’s MVP and launch.
- Consult with and educate internal development teams on performance practices.
- Explain complex technical findings to audiences with varying levels of expertise.
Requirements
- Solid experience with large, highly available, high-transaction databases of 100TB or more.
- MySQL experience is required; Oracle or MSSQL experience is a plus.
- Experience with cloud databases on AWS or Azure.
- Deep knowledge of database fundamentals, database architectures, and SQL code performance review and optimization.
- Familiarity with standard-edition tools for performance measurement, analysis, and optimization.
- Experience developing tools and methodologies for isolating performance issues.
- Ability to coordinate, plan, and manage complex technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex subjects to broad technical audiences.
- Experience with ML, LLM, and AI concepts and their impact on database performance and data architecture.
- Must be located within commuting distance of the Kraków office.
