Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and maintain complex application components according to design specifications and programming standards.
- Perform full-cycle software development spanning requirements, development, automation, support, and release launches.
- Build software with attention to scalability, performance, security, and technical architecture.
- Develop RESTful web services and Spring applications with automated and unit testing.
- Collaborate with product management, customer success, QA, DevOps, site reliability engineering, analysts, architects, and developers.
- Participate in planning sessions and daily Scrum meetings while adapting to changing requirements.
- Anticipate delivery issues and bottlenecks and provide deliverables on schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of software engineering experience, including software design, development, and automation.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java or Python.
- Experience developing RESTful web services and Spring applications, with unit testing using JUnit or TestNG.
- Experience working in Agile environments with knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
- Experience working with embedded systems.
- Knowledge of operating systems, multithreading, callbacks, scalability, web services, RESTful APIs, databases, cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience or knowledge with Gradle, Maven, GitHub, New Relic, Kibana, Splunk, Swagger, Kong Dashboard, Postman, and JIRA.
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, network penetration testing, man-in-the-middle attacks, SSL stripping, network vulnerability assessment, rogue access points, and reconnaissance scans is a plus.
