Responsibilities
- Co-lead the design and development of high-volume, low-latency real-time event-based applications.
- Lead and direct software engineers while defining architecture and assessing implementation complexity and risks.
- Deliver high-availability and high-performance platforms using microservices architecture.
- Identify and resolve code bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and production or non-production issues.
- Translate business functionality and production specifications into technical requirements and low-level designs.
- Research open-source projects and technology trends for potential product adoption.
- Work hands-on with product management and other teams to build highly scalable products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of design and development experience with scalable and distributed enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, JPA, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
- Experience managing, implementing, and optimizing MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, and DynamoDB data stores.
- Experience deploying applications and using managed services from AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Preferred experience with HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Angular, and D3.js.
- Strong foundations in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Ability to drive large-scale projects with collaboration and leadership skills.
