Software Engineer I, Full Stack (New Grad)

Responsibilities
- Build full-stack features spanning web-based 2D and 3D frontend interfaces and distributed backend services for satellite command and control, mission planning, and data processing.
- Write testable and maintainable code in React/TypeScript and Elixir codebases.
- Complete smaller, well-defined tasks under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Collaborate with space operators, designers, frontend and backend specialists, and astrodynamics algorithm engineers.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of software development experience.
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and modern TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Familiarity with modern React, including Hooks, Context API, and functional component patterns.
- Functional programming experience in Elixir and/or Erlang.
- Exposure to testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, or ExUnit.
- Basic understanding of gRPC, RESTful, WebSocket, or GraphQL-based services.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Comfort with Git and Agile tools and processes and with contributing to existing systems or building from scratch.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline.
- Preferred: experience shipping and maintaining production software, building complex React data-rich applications, OTP concepts, distributed systems, fault-tolerant architecture, Three.js, React Three Fiber, web-based 3D libraries, component libraries, design systems, Storybook, CSS-in-JS, monitoring, tracing, UI/UX design, or Figma.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
