Base Salary
$140k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build new features or enhance existing features for backend systems.
- Automate development processes, including testing and observability.
- Ensure mission-critical backend systems operate smoothly in production.
- Triaging and resolving operational issues as part of an on-call team.
- Identify opportunities for improving system reliability and scalability.
- Participate in recruiting and mentoring activities within the engineering team.
Requirements
- 2-6 years of experience in backend development using Java or a similar language.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and functional programming paradigms.
- Experience with SQL and online data stores like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Passion for agile, test-driven development, and automated testing.
- Experience with Spark pipelines and ORM technologies is a plus.
- BS or MS in computer science or a related field.
