Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable web applications using modern backend and frontend technologies.
- Develop and maintain APIs and backend services that support product functionality.
- Build reusable frontend components and contribute to shared UI libraries.
- Improve and modernize existing systems to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers and support the professional growth of teammates.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Support reliable deployments by debugging issues and collaborating with DevOps and QA teams.
- Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to improving engineering standards, tooling, and development practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and building production web applications.
- Experience working across both frontend and backend systems.
- Experience with modern web frameworks such as Rails, Node.js, React, or similar technologies.
- Experience building APIs and backend services.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Strong understanding of software design principles and maintainable system architecture.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams.
- Preferred location: Brno, Czech Republic.
