Base Salary
$166k - $236k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, extend, and maintain web software functionality across applications and systems.
- Debug complex operational and scaling issues and lead remediation efforts for major production support incidents.
- Provide architecture and technical direction for the growth of the codebase across teams, asset classes, and geographies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and guide engineering practices, processes, procedures, standards, and team culture.
- Work with the UX team to implement effective designs and promote Cboe Design Systems standards.
- Review requirements, rule filings, and trade desk announcements and provide significant input into project scheduling.
- Lead projects, meet commitments, communicate with stakeholders, and participate in incident reviews.
- Support production exchange systems outside normal work hours and participate in internal and industry-wide weekend testing as needed.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or demonstrable equivalent knowledge.
- At least 12 years of experience developing high-performance, data-driven websites.
- Experience with MVC web frameworks, preferably Django.
- Experience with JavaScript and Python, or another programming language with a strong desire to learn Python.
- Familiarity with modern web standards including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with Linux or UNIX-like systems.
- Strong ability to debug complex operational or scaling issues and an excellent understanding of UX principles.
- Experience with Apache, PostgreSQL, ReactJS, Python unit testing, and full-stack web testing is a plus.
