Full-Stack Product Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design and build backend systems and data models that power Fable’s product.
- Own features end-to-end, including frontend development when needed.
- Collaborate with design and product to turn ideas into customer-ready experiences.
- Engage with early users, incorporate feedback, and iterate quickly.
- Contribute to engineering culture through code reviews, shared ownership, and mentorship.
- Ship production-grade code while balancing quality and speed.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience building and shipping full-stack or backend-heavy applications.
- Strong fluency with Django or similar frameworks and backend fundamentals including API design, data modeling, and persistence.
- Hands-on Postgres experience with schema design and query performance.
- Experience building frontend interfaces, ideally with React or Next.js.
- Familiarity with TypeScript and GraphQL, or willingness to grow into them.
- Ability to take features independently from concept through production.
- Customer-focused approach with thoughtful system design, data integrity, and product judgment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
