Base Salary

$72k - $159k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement dashboards, alerting, and distributed-system observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Contribute to SLI and SLO definition, alert tuning, reliability reviews, performance testing, and reliability audits.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, triage alerts, execute incident runbooks, document incidents, and complete postmortem action items.
  • Improve runbooks, monitoring, alerting, and operational processes based on incident findings.
  • Write automation in Python, Bash, or Go to eliminate recurring manual operational work and track toil reduction.
  • Contribute to CI/CD and GitOps improvements using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Helm.
  • Apply cloud-native deployment and infrastructure-as-code practices using Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Collaborate with development teams on instrumentation, observability, deployment reliability, and service ownership.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform engineering, or related technology roles with production-systems responsibility.
  • At least two years of experience delivering software in large-scale distributed environments and applying reliability and resilience concepts.
  • At least one year of production-quality programming experience with Python, Go, Bash, or Java.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Practical experience with observability or monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog, or Dynatrace.
  • Foundational experience with Kubernetes and Docker, plus experience with AI-assisted tooling and development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred qualifications include distributed-fleet, retail, pharmacy, healthcare, incident-management, CI/CD, service-mesh, infrastructure-as-code, or edge-computing experience.
