Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug reference application processor firmware across software models, development boards, and shipping products.
- Create software stacks for Arm reference platforms and future Arm devices.
- Develop test code and automation solutions to reduce manual testing and development work.
- Analyze industry specifications and roadmap requirements, break down tasks, and help implement project plans.
- Perform upstreaming and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills, including adding significant functionality and analyzing and fixing complex defects.
- Experience with software testing or software development and strong debugging skills.
- Knowledge of application and low-level systems, system architecture, ARM, OS fundamentals, bootloaders, and device drivers.
- Proficiency with Linux or Windows operating systems and driver development is preferred.
- Understanding of test methodologies, CI, and test automation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and spoken English.
- Preferred qualifications include Python, shell scripting, Linux kernel knowledge, Android internals, open-source development, profiling, instrumentation, optimization, firmware verification and validation, and Security Development Lifecycle practices.
