Responsibilities

  • Design and develop IIoT hardware platforms and integrate hardware and software layers.
  • Develop control-plane and data-plane software for IIoT wireless products.
  • Build low-level software including BSPs, radio device drivers, and kernel modules.
  • Analyze requirements, create software designs, and write design documents and functional specifications.
  • Code, unit test, automate white-box testing, triage defects, debug software bring-up, and investigate customer failures.
  • Collaborate on product requirements, software specifications, unit and integration test plans, and functional and system test strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership for designing and implementing product features and solutions.
  • Develop innovations that may result in patents and other intellectual property.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 8–12 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 6–10 years of experience.
  • Experience with control-plane or data-plane software, data structures, 802.11ac/ax/be wireless, and Linux, RTOS, or networking OS internals.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems and hands-on experience with the Linux kernel, device drivers, and BSPs.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in 802.11 radio firmware and system architecture.
  • Experience debugging and resolving cross-layer RF, firmware, driver, and system issues.
  • Development experience with LEO satellite communication systems, Starlink services, user terminals, gateways, and satellite internet connectivity.
  • Experience with LTE, 5G NR, cellular gateways, SIM-based connectivity, satellite wireless backhaul, and wireless communication systems.
  • Experience developing software or firmware for networking products and strong software architecture and system-design knowledge.
  • Experience using traffic generators or analyzers such as IXIA and Wireshark.
  • Proficiency writing production-quality C/C++ code.
  • Technical leadership experience guiding high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI assistant technologies, NLP, or generative AI technologies such as OpenAI, Gemini, MCP, or Agentic AI.
  • Preferred: significant experience with 802.11 driver development, LEO or satellite internet, LTE, cellular gateway communication and architecture, L2/L3 wireless protocols, Cisco networking certifications, and AI/ML or Agentic AI frameworks.
