Base Salary
$160k - $320k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of Nutanix’s Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV).
- Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot AHV security features.
- Improve AHV reliability, performance, and security.
- Lead feature development from concept through market release.
- Interact with open-source communities.
- Use C and Python to develop kernel-level software.
- Apply knowledge of Unix/Linux OS internals, x86 architecture, virtualization, storage, and network management.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C and Python.
- Extensive knowledge of OS internals, particularly UNIX/Linux.
- Experience developing kernel-level software for Unix/Linux/BSD operating systems.
- Experience with C/C++, multithreading, algorithms, and data structures on Linux.
- Strong Linux kernel-mode debugging skills.
- Device-driver development experience in Unix/Linux/BSD environments.
- Familiarity with x86 architecture, virtualization, storage, and network management.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
