Responsibilities
- Be the primary backend specialist for the 1-on-1s team.
- Drive technical excellence through optimized database design.
- Maintain and enhance integrations for event streaming and data pipelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and empower their growth.
- Play a proactive on-call role to build reliable systems.
- Collaborate across teams while maintaining core responsibilities.
Requirements
- Advanced skills in backend engineering, especially with Ruby/Rails and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with authentication/authorization, event/data streaming, SRE, CICD, and cloud infrastructure.
- A track record of delivering clean, maintainable code and driving architectural decisions.
- Familiarity with comparable stacks like RabbitMQ, with a willingness to learn.
