Base Salary
$170k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services and other security-critical services.
- Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
- Work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional experience in security software development, or 7+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience includes security improvements to complex systems; TPMs and HSMs; TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols; and navigating large, complex, interactive systems.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced technical or engineering degree, strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, independence, adaptability, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

- Base salary range is $170,000.00-$270,000.00 for Level 3, with potential stock or long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
