Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, test, troubleshoot, and maintain full-stack business applications from specifications or legacy application code.
- Analyze business processes and requirements, design application enhancements, write technical specifications, and support application implementation.
- Administer and provide technical support for commercial off-the-shelf and internally developed applications, including user support, configuration, testing, monitoring, and permissions management.
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems, collect and process large datasets, and create data models and algorithms for analysis.
- Develop reports, visualizations, and forecasts and present data insights to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Identify, report, and assist with remediation of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and application security issues.
- Design and develop AI/ML automation systems and Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines using Elasticsearch or similar technologies and LLMs.
- Mentor less experienced staff, lead complex projects, coordinate with IT sections and consultants, and liaise with business support groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent computer-related experience with at least 5 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience.
- Strong object-oriented, full-stack development experience, preferably with ASP.NET, .NET Framework, .NET 8 or later, Blazor, MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, APEX, and Java.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Visual Studio, Toad for Oracle, Denodo, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle relational databases.
- Experience developing web applications and deploying them on Windows Server using IIS.
- Knowledge and experience applying secure application development practices and remediating security vulnerabilities.
- Some experience designing and developing AI/ML automation systems and RAG pipelines using Elasticsearch or similar technologies and LLMs.
- Advanced knowledge of software development and database administration principles, MVC architecture, testing, troubleshooting, analytical problem-solving, and systems engineering approaches.
- Strong communication, customer service, presentation, organization, and project coordination skills, with the ability to mentor staff and manage deadlines.
- Expert experience with a broad range of tools and technologies used by NNSS and willingness to continually learn and evaluate new solutions.
- US citizenship, a valid driver’s license, ability to obtain an HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential, and ability to meet the required physical examination and drug-screen requirements.
- Ability to understand and support MSTS safety, environment, health, and quality initiatives.
Benefits
- Primary work location is the North Las Vegas Facility on Losee Road, with telecommuting or teleworking potentially available.
- Work schedule is four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, subject to change.
- Pre-placement physical examination, including a drug screen, is required; random drug testing may also apply under the substance abuse policy.
- The position requires US citizenship and may require obtaining an HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential.
