Responsibilities
- Lead full WordPress projects from initial design through deployment and post-launch optimization.
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
- Implement on-page and technical SEO, including keyword structure, schema markup, and content optimization.
- Integrate REST APIs, third-party tools, and automation platforms.
- Convert Figma and XD designs into responsive, accessible, pixel-perfect WordPress websites.
- Monitor and improve website performance, usability, Core Web Vitals, and conversion metrics.
- Optimize websites through CSS and JavaScript minification, image compression, and CDN implementation.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience developing and launching WordPress websites.
- Proven custom WordPress development experience, including bespoke themes and plugins.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, site structure, and page-speed optimization.
- Experience implementing WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive web features.
- Ability to convert Figma or XD designs into responsive, production-ready websites.
- Familiarity with CSS, JavaScript, image compression, and CDN-based optimization techniques.
- Proficiency with Git, cPanel, and hosting environments such as WP Engine and SiteGround.
- Familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4, and Tag Manager.
- Portfolio of live WordPress websites.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with WooCommerce or membership sites and knowledge of automation tools such as Zapier or Make are desirable.
Benefits
