Responsibilities
- Design and deliver complex services, agentic workflows, and shared AI platform capabilities.
- Build multi-step agentic systems using reasoning, tool use, retrieval, memory, policy controls, and human oversight.
- Establish approaches for AI evaluation, observability, model selection, fallback behavior, and failure recovery.
- Lead technical delivery across multiple contributors and coordinate dependencies with product and platform teams.
- Review designs and code for scalability, security, performance, reliability, maintainability, and cost.
- Resolve complex production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Create reusable frameworks, reference implementations, and engineering standards.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Data, and Operations teams on durable platform solutions.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption based on technical evidence and enterprise requirements.
- Contribute directly to implementation and architectural and engineering decisions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production systems.
- Advanced programming skills in Python, Java, or another relevant production language.
- Strong experience building distributed systems, APIs, integrations, cloud services, and production-grade applications.
- Hands-on experience delivering generative AI or agentic systems into production.
- Experience with agent orchestration, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt management, or model integration.
- Experience implementing AI evaluation, tracing, monitoring, security controls, and reliability mechanisms.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, automated testing, CI/CD, cloud deployment, and production operations.
- Ability to lead complex technical work while remaining hands-on.
- Strong technical judgment and clear written and verbal communication.
- Preferred experience includes LangGraph, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, transformer architectures, model fine-tuning, inference strategies, model evaluation, vector databases, model gateways, prompt lifecycle platforms, AI observability tools, Kubernetes, Docker, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, enterprise middleware, workflow orchestration, ERP, integration platforms, internal platforms, developer tools, and regulated or high-availability enterprise environments.
