Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve a bounded platform component, SDK area, and its multi-tenant API contracts.
  • Design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, data models, integrations, and software features.
  • Support AI-assisted customer support capabilities including knowledge retrieval, response suggestions, summarization, and resource routing.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, performance profiling, optimization, and API lifecycle management.
  • Use incidents, telemetry, customer feedback, and live-site reports to prioritize work and refine the backlog.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product managers, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver features.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on customer-reported issues.
  • Apply secure coding practices, vulnerability remediation, monitoring, observability, maintenance, upgrades, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of software development experience; alternatively, a qualifying bachelor's degree with 4 years, a qualifying master's degree with 2 years, or a qualifying doctorate.
  • At least 4 years of programming or scripting experience, including languages such as SQL, C/C++, or JavaScript.
  • At least 3 years of database experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or ability in distributed systems, prototyping, computer science programming, software engineering, web development, operating systems, API development and integration, applied algorithm engineering, source control, and information vulnerability mitigation.
  • Preferred qualification: at least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle Cloud.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, innovate, troubleshoot, mentor others, and develop scalable and secure solutions.
