Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Go on AWS.
- Design accounting and financial-processing solutions supporting ledgers, reconciliations, settlements, balances, and regulatory outputs.
- Build and evolve event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing solutions.
- Write unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests covering technical and financial correctness.
- Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure with Terraform and support deployment pipelines.
- Monitor production workflows using logs, metrics, alerts, and distributed tracing, and participate in incident response.
- Design and document APIs, participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, and support platform evolution.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Accounting Specialists, Finance teams, and engineers on business-critical financial systems.
Requirements
- Must be based in Brazil.
- English proficiency at B1 level or above.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience without the stated degree option.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and operating backend services in production environments.
- Proficiency in Java and/or Go, Git, AWS services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, relational databases, data modeling, and transactional consistency.
- Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger, Infrastructure as Code, deployment pipelines, CI/CD, GitOps, observability, and production diagnostics.
- Ability to address scalability, reliability, financial integrity, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Preferred experience includes mission-critical financial systems, banking, fintech, payments, issuing, acquiring, core banking, accounting concepts, financial reporting, AWS certifications, and AI-assisted development tools.
