Responsibilities
- Architect test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Develop automated functional UI tests and API/service-level tests.
- Integrate automated scripts into CI/CD processes and maintain testing infrastructure.
- Define test frameworks, coding standards, design patterns, testing documentation, and quality metrics.
- Analyze testing risks, report product quality, and collaborate with QA teams to automate manual processes.
- Onboard new team members and provide technical advice to testing teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in QA automation for web and backend/API testing.
- Strong JavaScript programming skills, including programming patterns, principles, event-loop behavior, and asynchronous execution.
- Experience creating automation frameworks from scratch and test documentation such as test strategies and test plans.
- Experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, WebdriverIO, and at least one test runner such as Jasmine, Mocha, Jest, AVA, or Playwright.
- Experience integrating test reporting tools such as Allure and working with continuous integration tools and pipelines.
- Knowledge of CSS and XPath selector syntax, version control systems, AWS or Azure DevOps services, and SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban development environments and strong spoken and written English proficiency.
- Availability to work with four hours of overlap with the central U.S. area.
