Responsibilities
- Design and build Go-based control-plane services, CSI drivers, and tooling for provisioning and operating storage for Kubernetes-based AI and compute workloads.
- Integrate Dell PowerScale, VAST, and comparable high-performance storage platforms into declarative provisioning workflows.
- Build data-path, telemetry, and observability tooling to diagnose performance, reliability, and scaling issues.
- Develop production-quality software with strong testing, code review, and operational rigor.
- Deliver Terraform/OpenTofu infrastructure-as-code and ArgoCD or Flux GitOps pipelines for storage configuration and lifecycle management.
- Support bare-metal and hybrid provisioning where storage intersects host and cluster bring-up.
- Deliver storage integration for k0s-based Kubernetes using Cluster API and K0rdent management and child-cluster topologies.
- Architect storage software for disconnected and air-gapped environments, including Harbor-based artifact or mirror connectivity and PKI/TLS considerations.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of production experience with Go.
- At least 5 years of experience building distributed production systems at scale.
- At least 5 years of Kubernetes experience as a developer using an infrastructure-as-code approach.
- Knowledge of Linux and Kubernetes storage fundamentals, including NFS and CSI.
- Preferred proficiency in Python.
- Preferred experience developing or integrating high-performance storage for GPU and AI workloads, including high-throughput data pipelines and GPUDirect Storage.
- Preferred experience in sovereign or high-security air-gapped environments.
