Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy secure and privacy-preserving features for Axon camera systems.
- Coordinate across desktop, mobile application, and backend service platforms.
- Set a high technical bar through code and architecture design reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting the team.
- Resolve ambiguity and potential conflicts in product requirements.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or an equivalent technical field.
- Two years of professional embedded software development experience.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, runtime analysis, object-oriented design, and code quality verification.
- Programming experience with C, C++, and Golang.
- Experience with embedded Linux development and unit, integration, and/or system-level testing.
- Strong embedded software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of embedded networking technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, Bluetooth, DNS, and WiFi.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and systems.
- Good English communication skills.
- Preferred: master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
- Preferred: familiarity with Jenkins, TeamCity, Git, and Jira.
- Preferred: knowledge of security in computing and experience with Yocto.
