Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end-to-end.
- Assess the usefulness, high-level correctness, reasoning, explanations, and engineering judgment of AI coding-agent outputs.
- Distinguish between different levels of response quality and define what makes an interaction excellent.
- Provide clear, opinionated feedback on what worked, what failed, and what felt misleading or incorrect.
- Help establish standards for high-quality interactions with tools such as Cursor.
- Evaluate code and agent behavior without needing to fully execute or deeply review every line.
Requirements
- Staff- or Principal-level software engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in Go, Python, Rust, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience using OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor.
- Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows.
- Ability to make subjective but rigorous judgments about engineering quality.
- Comfort providing direct, opinionated feedback and maintaining a high bar for engineering standards.
