Base Salary
$180k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship extraction features end to end, from product and customer scoping through data strategy, model training, evaluation, and integration into Digital Surveyor.
- Build on vision foundation models, VLMs, point-cloud backbones, classical geometry, and open-source tooling.
- Adapt production models to new object classes, regions, and sensor types.
- Build evaluation pipelines that measure both improvements and regressions.
- Iterate on feature-extraction pipelines using customer feedback and changing metrics.
- Work closely with product, customer-facing teams, engineers, surveyors, and customers.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, EE, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong coding ability, preferably in Python and PyTorch, with comfort working in a large codebase.
- Hands-on experience training or fine-tuning vision models for segmentation, detection, or 3D tasks through work, internships, or projects.
- Working knowledge of 3D-perception geometry, including coordinate systems, transforms, and projection between images and point clouds.
- Ability to learn new frameworks and papers quickly and communicate findings clearly.
- Clear communication skills with engineers, product teams, and surveyors.
- Fluency with AI coding assistants.
- Preferred experience with SAM-family models, DINO, Grounding DINO, point clouds, LiDAR, Open3D, PDAL, PyTorch3D, sparse convolution libraries, ONNX, TensorRT, or production model deployment on cloud GPUs.
