Responsibilities
- Architect a spatial intelligence layer combining 3D geometry and semantic scene understanding for safe navigation and locomotion.
- Develop 3D spatial reasoning, persistent spatial memory, state estimation, mapping, and localization capabilities.
- Train, fine-tune, deploy, and integrate large-scale multimodal networks for ultra-low-latency edge performance.
- Implement advanced 3D representations that track and interpret environmental state.
- Collaborate across research, engineering, and robotics teams to integrate large-scale models into reliable robot systems.
- Evaluate model architectures, benchmarks, and datasets to guide the embodied AI roadmap.
Requirements
- Proven software engineering track record shipping complex machine learning systems into production.
- Strong background in 3D scene understanding and efficient spatial data structures.
- Deep experience with machine learning for vision or embodied AI, ideally involving large models, VLMs, transformers, or multimodal architectures.
- Proficiency in PyTorch and hands-on experience building, fine-tuning, and deploying large-scale machine learning systems.
- Ability to take projects from conceptual research through high-performance robot code.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, research-driven environment with evolving models, data, and tools.
