Software Engineer Senior - Productivity GenAI
Mercado LibreResponsibilities
- Design and implement the foundations of the AI Assets platform and tools for discovery, distribution, versioning, quality, and governance.
- Integrate GenAI into the platform team’s internal engineering workflows and establish reusable AI-native practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to build GenAI solutions and support the platform’s continued evolution.
- Drive continuous improvement using user feedback, usage and adoption metrics, and emerging GenAI trends.
- Use AI agents to prototype, implement, and refactor software, and help define evaluation and verification practices for AI-assisted work.
- Design scoped solutions end to end and contribute to action plans.
Requirements
- Strong backend development fundamentals with Go, Java, or Python.
- Experience or knowledge of microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, SOLID, clean architecture, and TDD.
- Daily practice or strong interest in GenAI, LLMs, AI agents, and evaluation of AI-assisted systems.
- Experience or interest in developer tools, internal platforms, distribution systems, and the MCP protocol.
- Ability to own end-to-end technical designs for bounded solutions.
