Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of software components for aerospace applications.
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues and maintain code documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Support the integration of software with hardware systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2+ years of software development experience.
- Basic proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Conceptual understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Preferred: internship or cooperative education experience in software development.
- Preferred: exposure to the aerospace and defense industry.
- Preferred: familiarity with C, C#, C++, HTML, Java, Python, and Bash.
- Preferred: experience with requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated build tools.
- Preferred: knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral methodologies and familiarity with data structures.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and perform coding and testing activities requiring hand and finger dexterity.
