Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical operation and operational readiness of high-traffic events through capacity validation, contingency planning, production-readiness criteria, and continuous reliability improvements.
  • Connect Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Infrastructure by translating business needs into clear, feasible, and operable technical requirements.
  • Lead strategic resilience initiatives and technical incident and degradation response, including decision-making, communication, and safe service recovery.
  • Improve observability, failure detection, and automated self-healing to reduce manual intervention.
  • Serve as a technical reference for engineering teams and promote resilient, scalable architecture and a shared culture of reliability and operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or an equivalent technical role, including at least two years leading technical initiatives or managing critical initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure such as AWS and GCP, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python and practical experience with version-control tools such as GitHub.
  • Expertise with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Kibana, and New Relic.
  • Ability to technically lead multidisciplinary initiatives, influence architecture decisions, and coordinate teams in highly critical scenarios.
  • Experience with generative AI and LLMs applied to the development lifecycle, including automation, code review, and incident analysis, and a history of improving reliability and resilience by reducing MTTD and MTTR are differentiators.
