Senior Applied AI ML Engineer
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, build, collaborate on, and operate supervised and unsupervised ML models.
- Design, build, and operate LLM solutions for risk explainability.
- Develop feedback and accuracy measurement techniques for AI solutions.
- Design, build, and operate risk-feature data pipelines in Databricks.
- Monitor AI and ML systems for drift, bias, and performance degradation and create alerts.
- Integrate models into scalable production architectures and support enterprise-grade ML applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, SREs, compliance SMEs, data scientists, architects, and operational teams to improve reliability, adoption, and outcomes.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a similar field plus 2+ years of experience; or MS plus 4+ years; or BS plus 8+ years.
- Strong foundation in information retrieval and natural language processing.
- Expertise in functional programming and JVM-based languages, including Python and Java.
- Experience integrating models into cloud-scale, microservices-based architectures.
- Experience with one or more ML frameworks, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, NeMo, or Hugging Face Transformers.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and Databricks.
- Experience or exposure to SQL, NoSQL, and messaging stacks.
- Operational experience supporting an enterprise-grade ML application in production.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ownership, and bias for action.
- Preferred experience includes production-grade ML pipelines, APIs, MLOps frameworks, AML or investigations systems, distributed systems, scalable architectures, vector databases, model serving, and inference optimization.
