Base Salary

$80k - $137k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services.
  • Independently own delivery of complex features, services, or technical components.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business and user needs into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Contribute to system and solution design, architecture decisions, technical tradeoffs, and implementation approaches.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, documentation, testing, and analysis.
  • Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards, quality expectations, and secure development practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and reliability concerns.
  • Contribute across requirements, design, implementation, testing, release, and support phases of the SDLC.
  • Create and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and other validation approaches.
  • Apply software design principles, patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Improve development workflows, automation, observability, and engineering efficiency.
  • Explore AI and machine learning capabilities and recommend practical applications.
  • Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and modeling strong engineering practices.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant and related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent years of relevant work experience; additional experience may substitute for an advanced degree.
  • Proficiency in one or more languages such as TypeScript, Java, C#, or Python.
  • Experience delivering production-grade software and independently owning significant features or technical components.
  • Ability to analyze diverse technical problems and apply sound judgment to identify effective solutions.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
  • Ability to use AI tools responsibly with attention to security, privacy, reliability, maintainability, and human oversight.
  • Experience with modern software development practices, version control, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and Agile or Kanban methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database concepts; hands-on database experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with OWASP threats, mitigation techniques, and secure coding practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited day-to-day supervision.
