Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud services for Data Platform services.
- Promote clear and simple software design and drive the team toward better practices.
- Support a true DevOps/CICD software delivery model.
- Ensure high quality in security, reliability, testability, and maintainability.
- Contribute new ideas for processes, tools, and technologies.
- Coach and mentor mid-level and junior staff.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience in enterprise-level backend systems.
- Experience with Java or Kotlin programming languages.
- Familiarity with cloud-native workloads, specifically Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, EC2, and Aurora.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
- Proficiency in Git for source code version control.
- Experience designing features end to end, including rollout and monitoring.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile team.
- Experience coaching and leading mid-level and junior staff.
