Base Salary

$105k - $132k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and automate internal processes and tools to reduce toil and improve team productivity.
  • Monitor the digital ecosystem for performance, availability, and transactional-data accuracy.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, alerts, monitors, SLOs, and other observability capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot issues and incidents, identify root causes, lead bridge calls and RCAs, and facilitate blameless postmortems.
  • Perform final validation testing for mobile and web applications and provide improvement feedback.
  • Build expertise in serverless infrastructure and modern SRE practices.
  • Communicate system health, issues, and upcoming changes with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with software developers, platform engineering, and cross-functional partners on high-impact business issues.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and continuously improve reliability processes and tooling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2+ years of SRE experience focused on observability and automation.
  • Familiarity with SRE principles including SLOs, SLAs, SLIs, and error budgets.
  • Hands-on experience creating monitors, dashboards, SLOs, distributed tracing, APM, OpenTelemetry, and RUM capabilities.
  • Experience with logging and observability tools such as DataDog, CloudWatch Log Insights, Lumigo, Incident.io, and PagerDuty or similar.
  • Understanding of incident management, including bridge calls, RCAs, and postmortems.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Intermediate SQL proficiency and intermediate understanding of JavaScript, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
  • Fundamental knowledge of AWS serverless services including Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate, S3, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.
  • Preferred experience with Git, CI/CD, JavaScript or TypeScript, Python, VS Code, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, internal business-process automation, Unix-like shells, Retool, FullStory, Amplitude, Embrace, AI agentic tools, Jira, infrastructure-as-code, Akamai, AWS Bedrock, or AgentCore.
