Responsibilities
- Translate software architecture into technical designs, code, unit tests, modular tests, and optimized SAP solutions.
- Analyze business requirements and processes and implement robust SAP architectures and applications.
- Design and implement on-stack and side-by-side architectures using SAP BTP and Clean Core principles.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain custom SAP applications using ABAP, RICEF, IDocs, qRFCs, CDS, SAP Fiori, and SAP UI5.
- Ensure code quality through reviews, automated checks, and SAP best practices.
- Execute and support testing with functional, business, and project teams.
- Analyze root causes, resolve defects, adapt applications to system changes, and improve performance.
- Evaluate and adopt new SAP technologies, including BTP and AI.
- Define best practices across architectures, technologies, and deployment scenarios.
- Collaborate with consultants, architects, business stakeholders, and project managers while supporting implementation projects.
- Coordinate and support tasks assigned to a group of developers.
- Own technical design, implementation, application roadmaps, lifecycle planning, and technical architecture diagrams.
- Act as a subject matter expert for SD-LE, SD-FT, and GTS.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Information, or a comparable qualification.
- 8–10+ years of professional SAP development experience, ideally in an international environment.
- Strong expertise in ABAP, new ABAP syntax, RAP, CDS, VDM, OData, APIs, IDocs, and qRFC.
- Good functional understanding and customizing experience in MM, SD-LE, SD-FT, and GTS.
- Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP UI5, SAP BTP, and front-end servers.
- Strong understanding of SAP Clean Core and modern extension strategies.
- ERP, GTS, and EWM integration expertise is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills, structured working style, and ability to explain complex topics clearly.
- High motivation for continuous learning and innovation.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Very good written and verbal English; German is a strong plus.
