Responsibilities
- Define and implement AI-first and agentic approaches for test requirements analysis, design, automation, execution, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and reporting.
- Own test strategy, risk assessment, regression execution, release-readiness reporting, and quality sign-off for production releases.
- Design and develop automation frameworks, reusable libraries, utilities, AI-enabled testing tools, and test agents.
- Validate account-information journeys across web interfaces, APIs, services, data flows, and integrations.
- Integrate automated validation and quality gates throughout design, development, CI/CD, release, and production validation.
- Drive engineering metrics and root-cause analysis to reduce escaped defects, flaky tests, and repetitive manual effort.
- Coach engineers in AI-enabled testing and modern software development and test practices.
- Translate quality risks, regression outcomes, AI-enabled testing opportunities, and release evidence for business, product, technology, and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum 14 years of IT industry experience with substantial hands-on experience in software development, test engineering, product-quality ownership, and complex business-critical systems.
- Expert-level Java programming skills and experience developing maintainable automation code and engineering frameworks.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright for browser and end-to-end automation, including framework design, parallel execution, and cross-browser validation.
- Strong scripting capability using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Shell scripting.
- Deep experience with API and service-level automation, including tools such as REST Assured and knowledge of REST, JSON, XML, authentication, and integration testing.
- Proven experience defining test strategy, risk-based regression scope, defect governance, release-readiness assessment, and quality sign-off.
- Experience integrating automated validation and AI-enabled testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, with knowledge of Git and Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with test environments, test data management, databases and SQL, service virtualization or mocking, observability tools, and evidence-based quality reporting.
- Understanding of performance, security, accessibility, reliability, contract, and risk-based testing.
- Experience with generative AI, coding assistants, prompt engineering, agent workflows, tool integration, and evaluation of AI-generated code and test artifacts.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, stakeholder management, mentoring, communication, and hands-on individual-contributor ability.
