Base Salary
$131k - $192k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and operate the networking and service mesh platform for service communication.
- Evolve DoorDash’s service mesh using Envoy and cloud-native technologies.
- Implement systems to improve reliability, observability, latency, and security.
- Develop automation and tooling for configuration management and traffic routing.
- Collaborate with Compute, Cloud Infra, and Product teams for consistent networking.
- Drive best practices in API management, service discovery, and fault tolerance.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in software engineering focused on infrastructure or networking.
- Hands-on experience with service mesh or networking systems like Envoy or NGINX.
- Comfortable operating distributed systems and debugging traffic issues.
- Strong development skills in Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Understanding of containerized environments and cloud infrastructure.
