Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete software development lifecycle, including defining, prioritizing, designing, building, and testing new features.
  • Operate software supporting globally distributed servers, customers, and AWS network connectivity at massive scale.
  • Build a new service using AWS technologies and develop pragmatic, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
  • Use data to make decisions, validate assumptions, and solve problems in an ambiguous environment.
  • Collaborate across AWS, communicate business value, share knowledge, and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
