Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable, high-throughput, low-latency services for the SDN control plane.
- Build link planning, routing, and control-plane delivery services in Rust for satellite and terrestrial network nodes.
- Develop highly available services, operational tooling, dashboards, and observability capabilities.
- Set technical direction, define engineering conventions, and lead system design and architecture.
- Collaborate with hardware, embedded software, science, mission planning, and mission operations teams.
- Drive software quality through design, code review, testing, deployment, and on-call operations while mentoring engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: 5+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or person granted asylum due to export control requirements.

- Base salary range is $168,100.00–$227,400.00 annually for the USA, Washington, Redmond location.
