Responsibilities
- Participate in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs.
- Design, develop, enhance, install, and support application systems using Java and related technologies.
- Analyze code and applications to identify system enhancements, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
- Conduct testing and debugging, including writing automation and unit tests for developed code.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and recommend programming solutions.
- Identify problems, evaluate information, and implement solutions with limited direct supervision.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
- Assess and escalate risks while supporting compliance, controls, and protection of Citi, its clients, and assets.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Hands-on experience with Java 17 or higher.
- Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and related Java frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Angular or React.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools.
- Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL technologies.
- Ability to write automation and unit tests.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and ability to manage deadlines and changing requirements.
