Responsibilities
- Build production-grade AI systems, agents, RAG pipelines, and LLM integrations.
- Develop machine learning infrastructure including feature stores, MLOps capabilities, and optimized runtimes.
- Create AI agents for SQL code conversion and data migration using Java, Go, and LangGraph.
- Develop search, natural-language analytics, agent workflows, and generative AI capabilities in Snowflake.
- Build evaluation loops for the groundedness, reliability, and safety of AI-powered features.
- Work with structured and unstructured multimodal data and optimize hardware performance for LLM throughput.
- Contribute to real systems used by Snowflake customers while following confidentiality and security standards.
Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university program during the internship.
- Desired class level is Master's or PhD, with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field.
- Recommended coursework includes artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, federated learning, efficient LLMs, information retrieval, predictive and generative modeling, natural language processing, differential privacy, cloud computing, and distributed or operating systems.
- Research or publications in AI, ML, NLP, or computer vision, or major open-source contributions, are preferred.
- Excellent programming skills in Python, Golang, and Java are required.
- Knowledge of PyTorch or CUDA is preferred.
- Experience working as part of a team, dedication, and passion for technology are expected.
