Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate AI and machine learning solutions for production applications and data workflows.
- Build and maintain data and model pipelines supporting training, deployment, monitoring, retraining, version control, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with data scientists, developers, and cloud engineers to productionize scalable AI solutions.
- Implement MLOps practices for model deployment, monitoring, and operational management.
- Support generative AI and large language model implementations, including prompt workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, and vector-based retrieval.
- Apply AI/ML to test automation, workflow support, and operational optimization use cases.
- Contribute to CI/CD, observability, operational support, responsible AI, model governance, explainability, and compliance.
- Document architectures, workflows, and engineering standards for project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Relevant professional experience in AI engineering, machine learning engineering, or related software engineering roles, with depth varying by career level.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, LLMOps, AIOps, RAG, and vector databases.
- Experience building or supporting data pipelines for AI/ML applications.
- Understanding of software engineering and DevSecOps practices for production systems.
- Experience deploying or supporting production machine learning and AI systems is preferred.
- Experience in cloud-based or hybrid technical environments is preferred.
- Experience supporting production ML at scale, cloud AI/ML services, or federal, public-sector, or regulated AI environments is a plus.
- Exposure to NLP, classification, survey analytics, or entity resolution use cases is a plus.
