Responsibilities
- Define, evolve, and govern the long-term mobile architecture and technical strategy.
- Drive platform refactoring, technical debt reduction, and robust integration-boundary architecture, including app-to-hardware interfaces.
- Establish quality, testability, security, compliance, code review, and technical governance standards.
- Break down complex requirements into sprint-ready work packages and provide accurate technical estimates.
- Collaborate with client product owners, platform and domain architects, and cross-functional leads on technical solutions and trade-offs.
- Guide and mentor the engineering team and work with the Mobile Tech Lead to implement the architecture.
- Document architectural decisions and system designs and maintain accessible technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of mobile application development experience with a strong software architecture track record.
- Hands-on Flutter expertise, including state management, architectural patterns, and code governance tools such as Dart Code Metrics, is ideal.
- Strong experience with Kotlin Multiplatform/KMP or React Native may substitute for Flutter expertise when combined with willingness to learn Flutter.
- Deep Android and/or iOS development experience and enthusiasm for transitioning to Flutter.
- Experience managing technical debt backlogs, defining code review standards, and establishing robust integration boundaries.
- Strong client consulting, communication, estimation, stakeholder management, and architectural trade-off skills.
- Ability to break down complex system components, maintain high engineering standards, and contribute directly to critical architectural components.
- Fluent English and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with BLE or NFC communication technology is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, or the Windows ecosystem is a plus.
