Base Salary
$177k - $365k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the observability roadmap as a product.
- Architect, build, and scale distributed observability infrastructure.
- Build high-performance data pipelines for telemetry analysis.
- Establish observability standards and patterns across the organization.
- Mentor engineers and lead architectural reviews.
- Collaborate with SRE, Infrastructure, and Product Engineering teams.
- Stay current with observability trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated product mindset with experience building internal platforms.
- 7+ years of experience in designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong background in building data pipelines and working with time-series databases.
- Hands-on experience with modern observability tools and practices.
- Expert-level coding skills in languages like Java, Python, Go, or Scala.
- Ability to manage complex technical details while seeing the big picture.
- Experience building observability platforms or scaling existing solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and technologies.
- Track record of driving adoption of internal platforms.
- Experience with machine learning or anomaly detection in observability.
- Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders.
