Responsibilities
- Automate testing for web and Windows-based applications and build or use automation frameworks.
- Perform in-sprint automation, review test cases and results, and convert complex requirements into test scenarios, cases, and scripts.
- Prepare test strategies, test plans, requirement traceability matrices, test reports, and risk analyses.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines and create virtual machines and test-suite runner configurations for automation.
- Conduct manual, functional, integration, exploratory, system, sanity, API, and web-service testing.
- Use SQL queries to validate data and test services with JSON, XML, REST, and related testing tools.
- Manage defects and test cases using issue-tracking and test-management tools.
- Collaborate with global delivery teams and present project-related points of view clearly.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in automation testing of web and Windows-based applications.
- Expertise building and using automation frameworks with Java or C# and experience with Selenium, SpecFlow, BDD, Protractor, or WebDriverIO.
- Hands-on programming experience with C#, Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD pipeline automation, SQL, JSON, XML, REST, Postman, REST Assured, JSON Lint, and SOAP UI.
- Experience using defect-tracking tools such as Jira, TFS/MTM, or Bugzilla and test-management tools such as TFS/MTM or ALM.
- Knowledge of manual testing, test strategy, test planning, traceability, risk analysis, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, writing, teamwork, attention-to-detail, and customer-service skills.
- LIMS testing experience is advantageous; performance, security, and mobile automation testing knowledge is desirable.
