Responsibilities
- Build and evolve backend services and infrastructure to support company growth.
- Develop new features for customers and business partners.
- Own complex backend features end to end, including technical design, test coverage, and deployments.
- Define and maintain high standards for product quality, maintainability, scalability, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and cross-functional product team.
- Mentor and support mid-level engineers as the engineering hub grows.
- Participate in agile development processes and continuous improvement.
- Contribute beyond current responsibilities to expand skills and support the team.
Requirements
- Extensive backend development experience within the Java ecosystem.
- Production experience with Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, messaging systems, and Git.
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design and Clean or Hexagonal Architecture.
- Knowledge of AWS services including SQS, SNS, and S3.
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and scalable solutions.
- Ability to independently break down ambiguous technical tasks into clean, production-ready code.
- Ability to mentor mid-level engineers and act as a supportive technical sounding board.
- Interest in working actively within a cross-functional product team and commitment to high-quality code.
