Responsibilities
- Develop and validate C++ manufacturing-test software for hardware validation, factory acceptance testing, and performance verification.
- Design, debug, and deploy automated test applications, stations, fixtures, scripts, and equipment integrations.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software failures, perform root-cause analysis, and support new product introductions, production testing, sustaining issues, and manufacturing improvements.
- Collaborate with hardware, embedded software, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and contract manufacturing teams.
- Implement and validate product-line and system requirements and produce software, test procedure, and release documentation.
- Participate in design, code, peer, and requirements reviews and improve test coverage and manufacturing readiness.
- Provide estimates, communicate status, support cross-functional planning, and contribute to DevOps and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- At least 6 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Linux embedded operating system development.
- Strong proficiency in C++, C, Python, and bash/sh in a Linux environment.
- Experience with Subversion (SVN), Git, and Bitbucket.
- Low-level software expertise with 32- and 64-bit ARM SoCs.
- Understanding of electronics, embedded circuit design, PCB schematics, and control of test equipment through GPIB, USB, or Ethernet.
- Experience with embedded buses and protocols including I2C, PCIe, SPI, MDIO, CAN, or Ethernet.
- Strong hardware-software debugging and root-cause analysis experience.
- Experience with formal engineering requirements, documentation, processes, and manufacturing tests such as acceptance tests and associated procedures.
