Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications, diagnostic tools, HMI interfaces, and automation tools for semiconductor equipment, laboratory fixtures, robotic tools, and field-service workflows.
- Build reliable operator-facing workflows for PCs, HMIs, tablets, and equipment-connected interfaces.
- Develop frontend/UI and backend logic using Python GUI frameworks, web UI tools, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, APIs, local services, configuration files, logging, and error handling.
- Integrate software with robots, cameras, sensors, measurement devices, motion systems, and industrial equipment.
- Support equipment networking, including device IP configuration, subnet understanding, and connectivity between PCs, HMIs, robots, cameras, and controllers.
- Implement threading, synchronization, asynchronous execution, and queue-based updates for long-running robotics, camera, measurement, and communication tasks.
- Support databases and data pipelines for measurement results, equipment records, part data, reports, analytics, model inputs and outputs, and traceability.
- Support data-driven and AI/ML workflows involving feature extraction, model integration, similarity scoring, quality and health checks, prediction outputs, and engineering analytics.
- Create and maintain scripts, tools, installers, documentation, validation notes, and test procedures for lab, production, and customer-adjacent environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Python for application development, automation, scripting, debugging, data handling, or equipment integration.
- Experience developing user interfaces, dashboards, diagnostic tools, HMIs, or local software applications.
- Familiarity with C/C++ or other lower-level programming languages, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Python UI frameworks, backend application logic, APIs, configuration files, logging, error handling, and software testing.
- Familiarity with databases or structured data using SQL, SQLite, JSON, Excel/CSV, NoSQL, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including IP addresses, subnets, ports, and local equipment connectivity.
- Preferred exposure to robotics, cameras, sensors, motion systems, measurement devices, machine vision, industrial equipment, AI/ML, data science tools, threading, synchronization, asynchronous programming, event loops, or queue-based UI updates.
