Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Hyderabad

- Design and operate low-latency online serving systems for fraud scoring, message decisioning, and real-time personalization.
- Build ML models for identity resolution, audience intelligence, content affinity, genre preference, and time-series forecasting.
- Design feature pipelines combining real-time streaming signals with batch-computed features for online scoring.
- Architect probabilistic identity resolution and audience intelligence systems across Warner Bros. Discovery brands.
- Own ML architecture for audience growth, demand, yield, and pricing forecasting, including model monitoring and improvement.
- Design offline and online evaluations, experiments, success metrics, promotion criteria, quality checks, leakage prevention, bias checks, calibration, and explainability processes.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Ad Sales, and other stakeholders to scope solutions and shape technical roadmaps.
- Mentor MLE 2 engineers through architecture reviews, design discussions, implementation guidance, and hands-on problem solving.
- Create design documents, architecture reviews, readiness reviews, and postmortems, and turn incidents into reusable standards and platform improvements.
- Evaluate DCR-native modeling, graph ML, agentic ML orchestration, LLM-augmented pipelines, and build/buy/partner options.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of ML engineering experience, or 2+ years with a Ph.D., with demonstrated senior-level scope and technical ownership.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and SageMaker.
- Experience architecting production ML systems for large user populations and influencing standards across teams.
- Expert proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost or LightGBM, and scikit-learn, with strong statistics and ML fundamentals.
- Experience with ranking, personalization, optimization, or multi-objective decisioning in environments with interacting metrics.
- Ability to own ML systems end to end, including problem definition, modeling, serving, monitoring, and improvement.
- Preferred experience in streaming, identity, fraud, ad-tech ML, audience modeling, recommendation or ranking, and content understanding.
- Preferred hands-on experience with production-scale agentic AI frameworks, real-time feature serving, low-latency inference, mixture-of-experts, or graph neural networks.
- Published research or conference presentations in relevant ML domains are preferred.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical solutions to engineering, science, product, and executive audiences.
